A few weeks ago, Charlie and Xander loaded the Shelby and made a quick trip up to Kansas City for an appointment at Children’s Mercy Hospital. While there they took a quick side trip to Arrowhead Stadium for a few shots with the Lap Around America Shelby GT350, or “Caroline” as she is affectionately called here in our office.

They made a quick stop for lunch at Joe’s KC Barbecue, which is just across the border in Kansas City, Kansas. The original location is tucked away in a Shamrock gas station and while it may not be fancy, their BBQ is full of flavor.
Xander had to try the Z-man Sandwich (being that Z-man is his nickname). This Slow-smoked beef brisket sandwich with smoked provolone cheese, topped with two crispy onion rings, on a toasted Kaiser roll is what Joe’s is known for and it did not disappoint. That said, Xander and Charlie said not to miss out on the burnt ends- they’ve been talking about them since they got back.
Next time you are up that way, they are definitely worth the time to check out!
