Local Spotlight: FOODOLOGY Food Truck, ROGERS, AR

by | Aug 19, 2020 | Local Spotlights, Our Adventures | 5 comments

Foodology, a brand new food truck, rolled in to Rogers, Arkansas this week and we got the opportunity to hang out with them at their GRAND OPENING!

The Foodology truck wasn’t always a vibrant blue beast slinging out burgers…in fact just a few month ago it was still Three Cents An Acre, a creole inspired eatery.

When the pandemic hit, the owners decided to close their windows for good…but Dustin Simmons and Robbie Hatfield, the chefs of Three Cents An Acre, had an idea. The pair already had dreams of opening their own food truck, they had even started work on a gourmet pasta truck until Covid ruined their plans. They backtracked a bit, purchased this bad boy from the original owners, and thus Foodology came to be!

From juicy smashburgers with a myriad of toppings to unique poutine creations, the recipes and dishes are actually inspired by and built around equipment they already had in the truck! The chefs have a huge passion for all types of food and they told us “anything we can cook in here, we will.” So expect to see lots of specials and menu switcharoos.

Tried the poutine – recommend it!! Will be going back with a larger appetite to try the rest of the menu along with the poutine. The fries and gravy top notch – the only ding is the curds but it’s very hard to get super fresh ones here. Overall would rate the traditional option here an 8 out of 10
