The Boyce General Store is a small family owned business with a big passion for good food and great pies. Locals say they have the best fish fry in the state and Brie Golliher aka The Pie Queen’s pies are known across the nation.
We here at Lap Around America avoid national chain restaurants like the plague…but this local chain is alright in our books! Their menu items are prepared from scratch daily and they use only the freshest ingredients. With a motto like “No Unhappy Guests, Not Even One!” they’re sure to satisfy.
Hickory & Oak was born around the Chef’s Table. They’re actually Bowling Green’s first and ONLY Chef’s Table Experience! Now, this isn’t something you can just walk in and decide to do on a whim. Reservations must be made at-least two nights out and Chef Josh will personally call you to discuss your food preferences…this is truly a curated experience. If you can’t set aside a whole night for a 4 course meal they still have unique and delicious daily specials to enjoy anytime!
We can’t talk about Bowling Green, KY without mentioning Chaney’s Dairy Barn. With 31 flavors of ice cream all made with milk & cream from their own cows, Chaney’s is THE ice cream shop of Kentucky. Carl and Debra Chaney say they make an estimated 25,000 gallons of ice cream a year! What?!?!
